RELATIONSHIP PATTERNS COACHING | BRIGHTON & ONLINE
Change the patterns shaping your relationships
1:1 relationship coaching to help you recognise and change the patterns shaping how you think, feel and respond in relationships, so you can build healthier, happier connections.
Do you keep finding yourself in the same place?
Perhaps you've already recognised an anxious or avoidant attachment style, or you've simply noticed that the same feelings, reactions or relationship difficulties seem to keep showing up.
You might understand the pattern logically and still find yourself repeating it. Knowing why you do something doesn't always make it easy to respond differently when you're actually in the relationship.
You might recognise yourself in some of these:
You become anxious or preoccupied when you sense distance or uncertainty
You overanalyse messages, conversations or small changes in someone's behaviour
You seek reassurance to feel secure, but the relief doesn't last
You pull away, shut down or lose interest when someone gets too close
You find yourself caught in anxious-avoidant or push-pull relationship dynamics
You struggle to trust, even when there's little evidence something is wrong
You people-please, over-give or lose sight of your own needs
You find it difficult to express what you need or set boundaries
You repeatedly feel drawn to emotionally unavailable partners
You know what you'd like to do differently, but still fall back into familiar responses
How my relationship coaching can help
Recognising the pattern is only the beginning.
You may already know you have an anxious or avoidant attachment style, understand that you overthink or withdraw, or recognise the type of person you repeatedly find yourself drawn to.
The challenge is knowing how to respond differently when those familiar feelings and triggers show up.
We'll look at what's happening beneath the pattern, while developing practical ways to interrupt automatic responses and create healthier ways of relating.
Together we’ll explore
-
Identify the triggers, thoughts, emotions and behaviours that tend to repeat, and how they play out in your relationships.
-
Explore the attachment patterns, experiences, beliefs, fears or emotional needs that may be influencing how you respond.
-
Develop practical ways to manage triggers, communicate your needs and interrupt familiar reactions when they appear.
-
Create greater security and confidence in how you approach closeness, communication, boundaries and conflict.
“I needed help with dating and understanding more about my attachment style, which I didn’t want to let get in the way of my relationships anymore”

“Nicole helped me gain deep insights into my relationships, attachment style, and personal growth in ways I never could have on my own”

“Nicole helped me break free from repeated dating and relationship patterns, rebuild my self-esteem, and develop tools to navigate situations that once left me stressed and anxious”
- Lauren S, Brighton
I take a thoughtful, therapeutic approach to coaching, creating a calm and supportive space to gain clarity, explore what matters most, and find practical ways forward.
You may already recognise some of your patterns, or you may simply know that something keeps getting in the way.
Our work goes beyond identifying what's happening. We'll explore the thoughts, emotions and responses that may be keeping patterns going, while developing practical ways to interrupt them and respond differently in real-life situations.
Where helpful, I may also draw on guided visualisation, mind-body techniques and nervous system-aware approaches, particularly when reactions feel automatic or difficult to shift through thinking alone.
I'll usually follow up with a short email containing key reflections and, where appropriate, simple prompts or exercises to support you between sessions.
Your patterns can change
The ways we relate can become deeply familiar, but they don't have to keep shaping what happens next. With greater understanding and some practical changes, you can begin to relate differently.
What shapes us doesn't have to define us
Many of the challenges we face in relationships are shaped by thoughts, emotions, beliefs and patterns we may not always be aware of.
They can influence how we see ourselves, how we connect with others and the choices we make.
When we begin to recognise what's shaping us, get clearer on what we need and make meaningful changes, we can build greater confidence, healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.
